Proceeds benefit Foothill College Service Leadership

Service leadership allows our students to develop and hone their leadership skills through work on and off-campus. #60for60 highlights 60 projects that give our students the opportunity to become leaders and global citizens.

These projects increase our students’ critical thinking, teamwork skills, and opportunities to transfer to a 4-year school, if that is their goal.

Some examples:

• Students volunteer as archivists and historians with the City of Los Altos

• Football team distributes food and clothing to the homeless in San Jose

• Global Medical and Dental Brigade provides care to rural populations in Central America

• Foothill Repertory Dance Company holds Toys for Tots Drive

• Students volunteer at Second Harvest Food Bank

• Engineering students work to make the campus more environmentally sustainable
