Jesus Ruelas is passionate about higher education, and passionate about helping others. A De Anza alumnus, Ruelas is now an academic advisor at De Anza and his journey to that position demonstrates the value of retention programs on the De Anza College campus.

Foothill College Music Technology Instructor Eric Kuehnl spent much of his career in the music and sound design industry, working at two audio technology giants, Avid and Sony. He brings his industry experience to his classes, and sees his students as entrepreneurs who will take the skills they learn from the music technology program and use them in a variety of disciplines.

De Anza Alumnus Inspires Students Through Art

This year the second annual Euphrat Museum Summer Art and Social Justice Institute took place at De Anza College from Aug. 17-22. Partially funded by the Foothill-De Anza Foundation's Innovation Grants, the goal of the summer institute is to bring together 25 students from various disciplines to create collaborative art projects based on social justice themes.
